In 2011, the Ishigakijima Astronomical Observatory was selected by astronomers as the best three starry sky spots in Japan that look the most beautiful.
At the Ishigakijima Astronomical Observatory, we conduct observational research on solar system objects and transient objects, as well as publicity and dissemination of astronomy.
The facility is open to the public for facility tours and astronomical observations.
