The westernmost cape of Ishigaki Island is called Uganzaki.
"Ugann"mean is worship in Okinawa dialect.
It has been revered by the people of Ishigaki Island as a holy ground where the gods descend.
Okanzaki is located at the westernmost point of Ishigaki Island.
The view overlooking from the cliffs shows a rough landscape.
At the tip is the Okanzaki Lighthouse.
In early spring, it is wonderful to see Easter lilies and Hirsophyllum japonicum dyeing the area white and pink. Many people come to see the sunset on the remote islands during sunset.
