The Agena Ruins are said to have been built by around the 14th century, and are mountain castles that make use of natural cliffs and steep slopes.
The shape of the castle is unusual even within the prefecture, and the outside and inside are surrounded by a double stone wall.
There is a bullfighting arena in Agena Central Park and Tengan River on the north side of the castle.
