The 65th Berlin Film Festival / European Film Market (EFM)
We will participate in the 65th Berlin International Film Festival held in Germany starting from the 5th of February, 2015. Our aim is to promote various films created in Okinawa. The festival is linked with European Film Market (EFM) and this time will be the 3rd time for OCVB Okinawa Film Office to take a part.

Screening at the Competition of the 65th Berlin International Film Festival
Director SABU’s new film, “Chasuke’s Journey (original title: Ten no Chasuke”, starring Ken’ichi Matsuyama, is selected in this years official competition. The film will be competing for the Golden Bear and Silver Bear awards among the selected 19 films from the entire world. The film, produced by Bandai Visual, Shochiku and Office Kitano received support from Okinawa Prefectural Government and the Okinawa Film Office for the shoot and subsidy, “Foreign Production Support Programme”, for production.

OCVB Okinawa Film Office will present “Okinawan Films”, a special screening event at Embassy of Japan. Our aim is to promote the island of Okinawa as possible film location by introducing the two films; “The Path of KUMIODORI” and “A Song of Gondola”
